HELLO SLEEPYHEADS…BREAKFAST IS SERVEDDD 😉 … well, that’s at least what you’ll be saying after making this delicious, easy breakfast meal!
My favorite part of the week is the weekend, because My cutie husband and I get to, first of all, sleeep in.. which, who doesn’t love?! right? and second of all, get to cook together with all the time in the world= funnn!
I let him sleep in due to the long night he just had while I decided to surprise him with some German Pancakes…but the minute these babies started cooking up in the oven, and the divine smell got all around our condo, he woke up and came straight in the kitchen to see what he had missed lol.. Isn’t he so adorable lol
The best part about this recipe is that it’s so easy! Barely took 30 minutes and when the smell gets around the house, ah! it’s all worth it! Let’s get cooking.. shall we?
Oh!! Before I forget, I’ve also made Mini german Cupcakes for breakfast before which are also great!! You can click here to get the recipe!
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp butter, chilled*
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs until well blended. Add in flour, sugar and salt and whisk until smooth. Add in milk and vanilla and whisk until combine. Place butter in a large cast-iron skillet and place skillet in oven and allow butter to melt completely. Working quickly, remove pan from oven and slightly tilt pan to evenly distribute butter across the bottom of the pan (not edges). Pour batter into hot skillet and return to oven. Bake 15 minutes until puffed and golden. Remove from oven and cut into 4 – 6 pieces (I just used a pizza cutter) and serve warm with Vanilla Cream Syrup, maple syrup, honey, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, jam, fresh fruit, or fruit syrup
Hope you enjoy making this scrumptious meal as much as I did! Thank you for reading.. As always, don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and share your pictures.
